Torres/ NPA ACC Working For the Torres Strait Building a Stronger Partnerships for sustainable development & growth. The Torres/NPA Area Consultative Committee Inc. (ACC) and our key objective is to generate sustainable development, create jobs and support business growth in our region, which encompasses the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area (NPA).

Our key role is to foster sustainable economic, social and environmental development. With our “on-the-ground” understanding of the region, we can identify overall priorities, and then work in partnership with organisations such as community groups, charities, business bodies, local councils, co-operatives and private enterprise, to develop projects based on local needs and opportunities./

We assist these stakeholders to obtain funding for initiatives under DoTaR’s Regional Partnerships program. The ACC also acts as a regional development “LINK”, bringing groups together as potential projects partners, key resources and programs, and complementary funding sources.
